This issue directs its attentions to personal negotiations of the past as a site of gendered truth, collective forays into trans genealogy and history, mourning for lost friends or those we didn’t get the chance to know, and utopic invocations of possibility by which the distance of the past helps us to focus negatively on the injustice and exploitation of the present.
